Pinterest over tiktok for the long tail traffic is the smartest detail in here.

I am really impressed by his work and results. Are you considering including Pinterest to create content?

I've got a similar graveyard of posts I keep meaning to repurpose. Removing the friction entirely is a much smarter move than trying to will myself into consistency.

Vinayak, repurposing meaningful work allows great ideas to reach new audiences without constantly starting from scratch.

Working smarter with content creates more space for what matters most. So does writing with depth and intention.

A great collaboration by you both

Thank you, Florence!

Thanks for sharing, Vinayak. I am a big fan of repurposing, but videos have always been a bottleneck. As I am starting to venture more into this definitely, giving this a try.

The biggest takeaway for me wasn't the AI

It was reducing the activation energy

If something takes one command instead of an hour, you'll actually do it

Sharyph's avatar

indeed…

The idea of turning articles into videos with one command is impressive. It could help many creators. What happens if the original article has complex topics? Does the system simplify content effectively?

Vinayak Ramesh's avatar

You can always tweak your scriptwriting component of the system until you are satisfied:)

But the scripts that are generated are for short videos 40-60 seconds, so it is always difficult to capture everything from a long article. It is best to use these videos to tease off, and create curiosity type of videos, and use them as a means to grow your newsletter.

wow, if I was into AI at that depth I would be all over this! Thank you for sharing Vinayak. How come you do not post video to Substack? The pinterest ad looked really good.

Vinayak Ramesh's avatar

Thanks Karen!

Now, the only video content is my Substack lives.

I might post these soon. I am still fine tuning it to reduce costs. It runs at $1 per video and I want to bring it down lol.

Karen Langston's avatar

Oh wow, that may not sound like a lot, but in the grand scheme of things that is a lot. I am assuming you would would have to figure out the ROI on each video?

Vinayak Ramesh's avatar

Agreed! And for now I am just using them as a means to grow the traffic to my newsletters (read: free subscribers). So in a way, it is like running paid ads lol. Let's see if it pays off:)

Karen Langston's avatar

I am sure it will work. Will you be sharing your rresults in an article?

Vinayak Ramesh's avatar

Yes aboslutely!

Sustainable results usually come from reducing friction, not relying on more discipline.

Most creators don’t lack ideas, they lack energy and consistency to execute repeatedly

Vinayak Ramesh's avatar

And getting the systems in place solves this problem!

Janay Trevillion's avatar

Amazing article!!! So helpful and I'm so in agreement about Pinterest over TikTok!

Vinayak Ramesh's avatar

Thank you so much!

I am glad it was helpful:)

The graveyard framing is right — most people keep making new things instead of getting more out of the ones that already worked. Repurposing is just leverage on labor you've already paid for. The trick is pointing it back at an audience you own, so the second life builds your list instead of renting someone else's feed.

Wow, this is incredible! So much great info. When I had blogs, Pinterest was always a top traffic generator. Glad to see it’s still working.

Vinayak Ramesh's avatar

Thanks for your kind words, Brandi!

A good reminder that the real value isn't creating more content. It's building systems that keep your best work working long after you publish it
