2025 was loud.
We saw 50 new LLMs. 10,000 new “AI Tools.” A million new “experts.” If you felt overwhelmed, you weren’t alone.
But in between the noise, there was Signal.
I spent the last week reviewing my own year….what worked, what failed, and what actually moved the needle. I also reached out to the smartest creators I know and asked them for their #1 lesson.
Here is the collective wisdom of 2025.
26 Golden Nuggets to take with you into 2026.
Before we start this post and 2026, I want to offer this special gift for you. 🎁

Let’s get back to the post 👇
Part 1: The Architect’s Lessons (Mines)
What I learned from building The Digital Creator.
1. Stop Posting, Start Building.
Most creators wake up asking, “What should I post today?” That is a trap. A post expires in 24 hours. A LinkedIn carousel is dead by Tuesday. But a Digital Asset…a template, a workflow, a tool…compounds forever.
In 2025, I shifted my focus. If it doesn’t create value while I sleep, I don’t build it. Stop renting temporary attention. Start building permanent assets.
2. Context is King.
The biggest lie in AI is that “Prompt Engineering” is a skill. It’s not. Context Engineering is the skill.
An AI model is generic by default. It doesn’t know your voice, your backstory, or your offer. The most profitable asset I built this year wasn’t a product…it was my Context_File.md (more about this coming out soon in 2026).
This single document holds my entire brand DNA. I attach it to every chat, and suddenly, Claude sounds exactly like me.
3. Agents > Employees.
I used to think scaling meant hiring a team of humans. I was wrong.
For 80% of the repetitive tasks in a solopreneur business (research, drafting, data entry), a well-structured AI Agent is superior. It costs $20/month, not $2,500. It doesn’t get tired. It doesn’t need to be managed.
Hiring humans should be your last resort for creative, high-level strategy…not your default for grunt work.
4. You don’t need to know Python.
We are in the age of “Vibe Coding.” If you can write clear English, you can build software.
I used tools like Cursor, Lovable, Replit, Vybe…etc to build micro-SaaS apps this year without writing a single line of code myself.
The barrier to entry for building tech is now zero. The only limit is your imagination.
5. The “One-Person” Myth.
Stop wearing the “Solopreneur” badge like a martyr.
You aren’t truly alone. If you are overwhelmed, it’s not because you have too much work. It’s because you haven’t onboarded your AI Team yet.
I have a “Researcher,” a “Writer,” and a “Strategist” as AI Agents. Treat them like real staff, and you will produce like a team of ten.
6. Garbage In, Garbage Out.
You cannot get exceptional writing out of an AI if you give it a mediocre prompt.
Your creative output is strictly capped by your Input quality.
This year, I started using “Voice-to-Text” to ramble my best ideas while walking. That raw, high-energy transcript became the fuel for my best newsletters.
Better fuel = Better engine performance.
7. Slow Down to Speed Up.
I used to rush to publish. Now, I spend 80% of my time building the System and only 20% executing it.
Speed doesn’t come from typing faster. It comes from having a workflow so smooth that the content almost writes itself.
Build the pipe, then let the water flow.
This is how it looks, the work I do after I post one newsletter. (more about this system coming out soon; I know it is hard to read. sorry for that…)
8. The “Death” of the Course.
The era of the $197 video course is ending. (Yes, I am saying this… and you may know very recently I launched this course…I think this will be my last of this kind… 😉)
People are tired of watching 10 hours of video just to find one answer.
They want Blueprints. They want Templates. They want Systems.
Give them something they can copy-paste and install immediately. Selling “Speed” is 10x easier than selling “Information.”
9. Rent vs. Own.
Building your entire business on X or LinkedIn is like building a house on rented land. The landlord (the algorithm) can triple the rent (lower your reach) overnight.
Your email list is the only property you actually own.
Use social media to drive traffic, but never rely on it to hold your audience.
✅ I wrote a playbook for this - Get it here 🚀
10. Document Everything.
If you solve a problem twice, write a script for it.
Every time I fix a bug in my business, I create a document for it. These documents become the “Training Data” for my AI agents.
Your business is only as good as its documentation.
11. Anti-Fragility.
Ask yourself: “If I took a month off, would my business die, or would it just pause?”
True scalability is Anti-Fragility. It means your assets (SEO articles, email sequences, paid templates) continue to sell even when you aren’t in the room.
If your income stops when you stop typing, you have a job, not a business.
12. The Only Metric That Matters.
Forget likes. Forget impressions. Forget follower counts.
I look at one metric at the end of every day: “Did I build something today that increases the Enterprise Value of my business?”
A tweet adds zero equity. A new Lead Magnet adds permanent equity. Build equity.
Part 2: The Collective Wisdom
14 Golden Nuggets from fellow creators building in the trenches.
13. The Reflection
“Slowing AI down to help us reflect instead of accelerating towards endless outputs. AI can be a powerful tool to understand our own inherent biases.”
— Sam Illingworth
14. The Nervous System
“This year I learned that feeling behind isn’t a scheduling problem — it’s a nervous system habit. The real work wasn’t optimization. It was learning to stop without permission.”
— Dennis Hedenskog
15. Humanity First
“Whatever tool you use will only work if you are established in your humanity. You need to know who you are so that you can effectively use your tools.”
— James Presbitero
16. Life Scripts
“Slowing down opens up your ability to work on things you care about. There are more life scripts possible for you - take the leap.”
— Brennan McDonald
17. Alignment
“The creator economy can be draining when your work isn’t anchored in real value. Check regularly if your digital goals still align with your personal goals.”
— Jonas Braadbaart
18. Humility
“Substack exposed the parts of my thinking I’d been glossing over. It sharpened things I thought were already clear. It humbled me in places I thought I was strong.”
— Joe Mills
19. Stillness
“All of our problems stem from our inability to sit quietly in a room alone. The real solution is to remove obstacles, and the right answers will present themselves.”
— Dennis Berry
20. Transferable Skills
“Our skills are far more transferable than we often realise. The format my change, but clear thinking and persuasive writing remain the same.”
— Melanie Goodman
21. Mastery
“The biggest AI victory isn’t using the latest features. It’s mastering the tools that free you for what matters most.”
— Joel Salinas
22. Resilience
“Life goes on. I learned this the hard way... No matter what trouble you find yourself in, just remember that life goes on and time changes everything.”
— Wajeeha
23. Irreplaceability
“Getting ahead is not by being the best at something. It is by developing a unique combination of skills... and making the person irreplaceable despite how much AI progresses.”
— Juan Gonzalez
24. Kindness
“When you step out of the loud, fearful narrative, you realise the world isn’t defined by its worst moments. The real story is usually one of kindness.”
— Minty
25. Doing The Work
“I stopped thinking about money all the time... it just eats up half your day. So just focus on working more, that’s all.”
— Nitin Sharma
26. The Personal Board
“Create a project and assemble thought leadership from an AI ‘personal board of directors.’ Have them play Devil’s advocate to test your ideas.”
— Mike Goitein
